Quectel and IoTerop make IOWA’s LwM2M software available on BG95 modules

Quectel Wireless Solutions, a leading provider of cellular IoT modules and antennas, and IoTerop, a leading Lightweight M2M (LwM2M) software service provider, have partnered to offer IoTerop’s IOWA LwM2M 1.1 client in Quectel’s BG95 modules.

Integrating IoTerop’s IOWA into these modules offers benefits to Quectel customers in the smart meter, smart street lighting and asset tracking industries. Using low power wide area (LPWA) narrow-band Internet of Things (NB-IoT) and LTE-M networks, customers can deploy massive fleets of Quectel’s ultra-compact, ultra-efficient, and affordable modules.

IOWA’s software offers a number of important features for companies in these industries, including low power and low bandwidth device management. Its zero-touch commissioning which includes bootstrapping and provisioning, along with over-the-air (OTA) firmware updates, enables support for all internet protocol for smart objects (IPSO) and custom objects.
