Abhinav Srivastava has moved on from Piaggio Vehicles Pvt. Limited and joined Daimler India Commercial Vehicles as Chief Information Officer. He will be based out of Chennai.Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG, and a full-fledged commercial vehicle player with a brand dedicated to its home market of India: BharatBenz. DICV produces and sells in India above 9 to 55 tonne trucks and, under its bus division, BharatBenz buses and Mercedes-Benz coaches.
In his new role, Srivastava will lead the digital transformation initiatives and will strategically manage IT to benefit the business.
“Abhinav Srivastava’s expertise in Digital transformation, Shared Services, IT-related strategic planning, driving new-age technology and aligning digital strategies makes him a perfect fit for Daimler India Commercial Vehicles,” the company said in a statement.
In his previous stint, Srivastava was associated with Piaggio Vehicles Pvt. Limited for more than two years and served as Head-IT & Digital Transformation, Data & Analytics, Intelligent Automation. He was responsible for running the technology and digital transformation function across all business units and the pan India dealer network.
He has close to 15 years of experience in large-scale Digital transformational engagements, Business process re-engineering, Shared Services Management, and Change Management. He has worked with companies like PwC India, Marsh & McLennan Companies, and Wipro in the past.
Srivastava holds an MBA degree from ICFAI Business School and a Bachelors in Engineering from Uttar Pradesh Technical University.
