KONE Corporation, a global leader in the elevator and escalator industry, has won an order to supply 67 KONE elevators for Zhuhai Huafa Plaza mixed-use development in Zhuhai. Located on the central coast of China’s southern Guangdong province, the city borders Macau to the southeast, and shares maritime boundaries with Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
Zhuhai Huafa Plaza will see a 257-meter-tall office tower and two 200- and 143-meter-tall residential towers, all on the waterfront. The towers will be accompanied by over 390,000 square meters of boutique retail, food and beverage facilities as well as garden courtyards and green terraces that offer panoramic views to the mountains and Macau across the Pearl River Delta.
KONE’s delivery includes 42 KONE MiniSpace elevators and 25 KONE MonoSpace® elevators. The elevators will be equipped with the KONE Destination Control System to reduce waiting and traveling times. In addition, the contract includes two years of standard maintenance.

The project is estimated to be completed during 2023, and it is developed by Zhuhai Qinfa industrial Co., Ltd.
KONE booked the order in the third quarter of 2020.
