Padua, Italy, May 21, 2021 (Solar Business Hub) — FuturaSun announces it has extended the warranty for its Zebra series of back contact monocrystalline PV modules from 10 to 25 years ensuring long-lasting performance and reliable return on investments.

The 25-year warranty covers any defects or faults affecting the functional use of the PV modules and guarantees a maximum performance degradation of 0.4% per year and a power output of 89% of its original performance at the end of the 25-year period showing no signs of ageing.

FuturaSun’s ZEBRA modules feature state-of-the-art technology developed in Europe by German research institute ISC Konstanz.

Thanks to the back contact technology, ZEBRA modules have no front contacts, ribbons or anything that makes shades, achieving above 21% efficiency.

Its low-temperature coefficient (-0.3%/°C) adds 3% of power during regular operation and thanks to its low radiation performance the inverter can be switched on in the early morning hours and switched off later in the evening.

As shown in the ISC Konstanz diagram, when the weather is cloudy or in the presence of low radiation in the morning and evening, Zebra modules perform much more efficiently than 9BB PERC modules.

The Zebra back contact technology is also immune to Light Induced Degradation (LID) and Light and Elevated Temperature-Induced Degradation (LeTID) mechanisms which directly translate into superior performance and reliability.
