Duke Energy Florida just announced four new solar projects that will begin construction in 2022.
The four new sites:
- The 74.9-MW Hildreth Solar Power Plant in Suwannee County, Florida, will use bifacial solar panels on trackers.
- The 74.9-MW Bay Ranch Solar Power Plant in Bay County, Florida, will use bifacial solar panels on trackers.
- The 74.9-MW Hardeetown Solar Power Plant in Levy County, Florida, will use bifacial solar panels on trackers.
- The 74.9-MW High Springs Solar Power Plant in Alachua County, Florida, will have traditional monofacial modules on trackers.
“We continue investing in utility-scale solar in Florida because our customers deserve a cleaner energy future,” said Duke Energy Florida state president Melissa Seixas. “These solar plants are the latest milestones in our strategy to deliver reliable, cost-effective, clean energy to our customers.”
