PROFROID, Celsior and Green & Cool have again joined forces to demonstrate their latest innovations in sustainable cooling and heating technology at the Chillventa 2022 exhibition in Nuremberg, Germany.
The companies will bring a diverse portfolio of new and existing products to the show, delivering both cost and energy savings for customers, without sacrificing performance. Carrier Commercial Refrigeration is a part of Carrier Global Corporation, the leading global provider of healthy, safe, sustainable and intelligent building and cold chain solutions.
“Chillventa has been the world’s leading hub for showcasing the cutting edge of refrigeration technology since 2008,” said Johann Samuelsson, General Manager of Mechanical Systems, Carrier Commercial Refrigeration. “We’re keen to demonstrate how our next generation systems will create a more sustainable future for our sector. The collective expertise in PROFROID, Celsior and Green & Cool make us the ideal partners for today’s refrigeration and heating challenges, developing technology capable of unlocking key gains from small supermarkets to large industrial applications.”
Chillventa visitors will be among the first to see several new products from the portfolio, including a specialised version of PROFROID’s proven PowerCO2OL unit. Benefitting from the same underlying technology and principles, the new PowerCO2OL S is geared towards smaller industrial applications, operating between 300 to 1,200 kilowatts, offering customers greater flexibility.
The PowerCO2OL systems are also available in a heat pump version, PowerCO2OL Heat. It can supplement or replace existing building heating, domestic hot water or district heating systems with hot water up to 90 C, helping customers save on their energy costs and significantly improving their sustainability credentials.
The trio of companies will also present the QuietCO2OL MC Evolve system, which complements the base QuietCO2OL MC unit. Planned for launch in Q1 2023, the compact QuietCO2OL MC Evolve system integrates Carrier’s CO2OLtec® Evo technology with a modulating vapor ejector to create a highly efficient product, capable of addressing applications ranging from small chillers and freezers to the commercial heat pump market, all while yielding energy savings of up to 30%.
For food retail customers, Carrier Commercial Refrigeration’s best-selling QuietCO2OL range will also be on display, addressing store or small cold room applications with a sustainable solution. Also, the recently launched EasyCube switchable will be on the stand in Nuremberg. The highly efficient plug-in island cabinet has the versatility to switch between chilled or frozen refrigeration. Its ultra-slim superstructure elements, triple glazed high glass fronts, ergonomic transport design, easy-open sliding lids and small condensing unit create a lightweight look that delivers outstanding product visibility with easy access for consumers. One of the most energy-efficient units currently available in its class, it is ideally suited to key promotional locations in store, helping to attract consumers to particular products.
In addition, visitors can view the Optimer® Low Front with anti-reflex glass doors and a selection of LED options. The Optimer line is a refrigeration plug-in multideck cabinet, which offers a high-quality system in design, product visibility and energy efficiency.
These innovations add to Carrier’s ongoing efforts to help its customers optimise their energy usage amid the energy cost crisis. Carrier Commercial Refrigeration’s recently launched its Energy Optimization Program, which aims to deliver sustainable savings. Carrier has proven, ready-to-install products to help customers reduce their energy usage by as much as 40%*, while also reducing their carbon footprint. Customers can learn more about the Carrier Energy Optimization Program as well as the new best-in-class service and aftermarket offering, BluEdge™ TM. Now available to customers across Europe, BluEdge maintenance services, which include digital services such as remote monitoring and energy optimizations help ensure vital refrigeration equipment is operating continuously and at peak efficiency and performance. This program can be custom designed to meet the individual needs of each customer’s business.
These new models contribute to Carrier’s aim to reduce its customers’ carbon footprint by more than one gigaton as part of its 2030 Environmental, Social and Governance goals.
