At the EnOcean Alliance booth C1180, energy harvesting and IoT expert EnOcean will be demonstrating self-powered wireless sensor solutions that deliver the required data for intelligent HVAC installations.
At AHR Expo (January 31st to February 2nd, Las Vegas) manufacturers of all sizes and specialties come together to share ideas and showcase the future of HVAC technology. EnOcean, world leader in energy harvesting wireless technology, will present how the latest self-powered wireless solutions satisfy the high requirements to HVAC solutions at lowest installation and maintenance cost. Visitors can experience wireless sensors, powered by their surrounding environment, which deliver the necessary data required for the digitization of buildings and the Internet of Things (IoT).
EnOcean will demonstrate new solar-powered sensor solutions that further drive the use of maintenance-free wirAt the show, EnOcean will be showcasing a selection of self-powered wireless sensors optimized for HVAC and Lighting Control as well as IoT applications. One of these sensors, for example, is a solar-powered temperature/humidity sensor, which can be flexibly positioned on the wall or simply used as a stand-alone device.
EnOcean’s maintenance-free solutions are based on the EnOcean wireless standard (ISO/IEC 14543-3-1X) introduced by the EnOcean Alliance on the sub 1 GHz band, which has proven to be a resounding success in building automation, due to its high reliability and a radio range of up to 98 feet. Self-powered wireless sensor solutions help make buildings more flexible, more energy-efficient and more cost-effective. These aspects have become increasingly important over the last years as sustainability and new work routines have made their way onto the agendas of politics and businesses all around the globe.
Buildings are responsible for around 40 % of the worldwide CO2 emissions, so it is absolutely necessary to focus on making those more sustainable and energy-efficient by reducing their energy consumption. Also, the COVID pandemic has unveiled the need to provide healthier and more comfortable working areas for employees. Monitoring and controlling air quality, lighting levels, temperature, and occupancy levels are what is needed to accomplish this.
The self-powered wireless sensor solutions from EnOcean are a vital piece of the puzzle in reaching these goals.
