Ensuring access to sustainable, reliable, and modern technology & energy
Today, 3 billion people in the world rely on wood, coal, charcoal, or animal waste for cooking or heating, and 13% of the global population lack access to reliable supplies of electricity, telecommunication, and essential technologies.
Our contribution to this sustainable development goal includes:
• Installing needed infrastructure to provide access to modern, reliable, and affordable energy and technology services.
• Increasing the level of global renewable energy usage.
• Enhancing and maintaining energy production efficiency.
• Upgrading technology for supplying modern and sustainable energy services.
Build a resilient infrastructure for promoting sustainable industrialization and fostering innovation
Introducing new technologies can facilitate the efficient use of resources. At SourceItRight, we work towards this sustainable development goal by:
• Upgrading the infrastructure and retrofitting industries to make them sustainable by increasing resource utilization efficiency and adopting clean and environmentally sound technologies.
• Facilitating sustainable and resilient infrastructure development in low and middle-income countries.
• Supporting domestic technology development, research, and innovation in low and middle-income countries.
• Increasing access to information and communications technology and striving to provide universal and affordable access to the Internet in the least developed
Rejuvenate the bond of global partnership for ensuring sustainable development.
We need solid international relationships to ensure that we can achieve sustainable development goals.
At SourceItRight, we contribute directly to this global partnership by actively engaging with our key partners, Zilgo International Limited, S4F.Solutions, SourceItRight SDN, Sardia For Contracting LTD, NileHarvest, and Sardia International Limited.
With almost half of the world’s population still not connected to the Internet, especially in developing countries, we at SourceItRight have set our global partnership goals so we can:
• Provide science, technology, and innovation to enhance knowledge sharing through the improvement of global technology mechanisms.
• Promote environmentally sound technologies to developing countries.
• Optimize information and communication technology in the least developed countries.
• Enhance data management in developing countries to ensure that high-quality and reliable data can be promptly available.
Transform cities into inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable habitats.
Cities and metropolitan areas account for about 70% of the global carbon emissions, and they use over 60% of the world’s resources. We forecast rapid urbanization to continue, which will cause a growing number of slum dwellers, inadequate and overburdened infrastructure, and services that will lead to an increase in air pollution and unplanned urban sprawl.
Statistics from the SDGs have mentioned that cities that occupy only 3% of the Earth’s land are responsible for 60-68% of energy consumption and 75% of their carbon emissions. We at SourceItRight want to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions to make our cities inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable.
We are working towards this sustainable development goal by:
• Using an integrated and sustainable approach to human settlement planning to enhance an inclusive and sustainable nature of urbanization.
• Focusing on improving technology, infrastructure, and renewable energy so as to reduce the negative per capita impact of cities on the environment.
• Working towards universal access to safe, green public spaces, particularly for women, children, older people, and people with disabilities.
• Significantly increasing the number of cities and human settlements.
• Implementing integrated policies and plans towards inclusivity, resource efficiency, mitigation, adaptation to climate change, and resiliency to disasters.
• Assisting low and middle-income countries to build sustainable and resilient buildings from local materials through technical assistance.
